Thankful: Carmike Cinema 1

This week’s collection of posts are dedicated to my hometown, Springfield, TN and the things that make it great.

Today I’m thankful for Springfield’s own Carmike Cinema 1.  Yes, Springfield has a movie theater and it’s the old fashion type with just one screen.  I can remember before it was remodeled (probably more than 15 years ago) there was a rip in the movie screen and pigeons would fly in and out during the movie.  Pigeons or  not, one screen or not, I’ve spent lots of hours there watching movies.  I watched my first movie there with my Mom and Cousin (first movie was ET) and then 20 years later got to watch ET there again!

Today, I’m thankful for a slice of Americana and for not forgetting it’s the little things in life, like a small movie theater that can brighten up the day.

What are you thankful for today?
