Thankful: Parents Who Shared Their Love of Books

This week’s set of posts are devoted to one of my favorite things, BOOKS!

Today I’m thankful that I had two parents who shared their love of reading with me and my sisters.  I can fondly remember bedtime and bedtime stories each night.  As I got older, I can remember being told to go to bed and being allowed to read for 30 minutes before turning off the light to go to bed.  What a gift I was given to be allowed to read each night (a tradition I continue today!)

What are you thankful for today?

  1. I, too, still read each night before sleeping. What a marvelous way to end the day caught in a land where imagination soars… And then the Bible filled with love, stategy, triumph, redemption, and assurance. Reading is appreciating the world that opens to us for a brief moment and leaves lasting impressions.
