Our weekend trip (yeah, I know you’re probably tired of hearing about it by now!) make me thankful for rain. Saturday morning we woke up to a yucky weather day – not great since we had planned on taking the cool shuttle mentioned in yesterday’s blog and trekking around downtown Chattanooga. We thankfully made it to our shuttle stop without rain, boarded the shuttle for the first time, and made it to the end of the shuttle line, which dropped us off about 2 blocks from the Tennessee Aquarium. This would have been perfect, except that it was raining cats and dogs and we didn’t have an umbrella or rain jackets….. We found ourselves in a cool shuttle terminal that had a parking garage attached. Superhero said to me, “wonder where the elevator goes?” So we ventured up the elevator, stopping on each floor until someone got on at floor #5, we got off, guess because we didn’t want to look like we were just riding the elevator for no reason. So on floor number five, we looked around, saw that you could see the aquarium pretty well, then noticed that the garage was just about empty. Being the very grown up, responsible parents we are, pushing a stroller with a happy toddler, we decide to have a race in the empty garage. This was probably the best part of the trip, it was absolutely not planned and couldn’t ever be recreated and for just a few moments, we were just silly.
What are you thankful for today?
